Interior Celebrates Great American Outdoors Act

Fee-free visits to public lands in observance of the first anniversary.

On Wednesday, the Department of the Interior will be observing the first anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act that invests in national parks, public lands, and American Indian schools. In celebration, the entrance fees to all public lands will be waived on that day, though park usage and rental fees will remain in effect.

“Through the Great American Outdoors Act, we are investing in the American people, and in the future of our public lands and sacred spaces,” said Interior Secretary Deb Haaland. “I invite all Americans to experience the beauty and bounty of our nation’s public lands – not just on August 4 but every day of the year.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the Interior Department as investments are made in public lands.
  • For the president’s administration as efforts are made to conserve national resources.
  • For God to fulfill His purpose through the Great American Outdoor Acts.
